Avocado Toast
It’s so insanely popular and can be found everywhere, because it’s so insanely good and should be eaten everywhere.
I was hungry and needed a snack. We had a ripe avocado. Toast. Smash. Drizzle. Sprinkle. Done.
The version I just enjoyed was smashed avocado on toasted brick oven bread, with extra virgin olive oil, sea salt, and crushed red pepper flakes. But you can put anything on it and it will be good. Think of a culture. Now think of their food. What herbs, spices, condiments, and proteins do they use? Put them on top. Let your imagination go wild.
I just wish I could grow an avocado tree in my garden here in New York.
